AirTran
Airways is one of America's largest low-fare airlines, is the
world's largest operator of the Boeing 717 and has America's
youngest all-Boeing fleet. In February 2006, AirTran
became an official ICAS Foundation sponsor, providing air
transportation services in support of the Foundation's programs.
The
Florida International Air Show, Punta Gorda, FL, supports over 50
Florida-based local charities from their proceeds each year. But
they are also a repeat contributor to the ICAS Foundation, having
designated the Foundation as a recipient twice over the past few
years. We appreciate their recognition of our programs, and
extend our heartfelt thanks to Florida International Air Show
President Bucky McQueen, Chairman Fred Buckingham, Air Boss Bob
Hall, and the FIAS Board of Directors.
Many, many thanks to Kathy
Mosteller, Air Show program Management at FedEx Express.
When the Foundation asked for help in jump-starting our historical
archives project, Kathy was there with assistance in the form of
packing boxes, shipping materials, pallets, shipping and storage
space at the FedEx headquarters in Memphis, TN.
The ICAS
Foundation is for the air show community, and some of our most
important supporters are community-based folks. In April 2003,
Don McLaren of the Northeast Council of Air Shows
brought it all home when he presented a check for the NE Council's
$1,000 donation to Foundation Chairman Sean D. Tucker and Foundation
board member Brian Norris. Thanks for your help!

Allen Silver of Silver
Parachute Sales has been a generous auction donor for several years.
When Allen was the high bidder on a dual
flight with air show pilot Greg Poe, he shared his experience with
us. Thanks, Allen, for supporting the Foundation on both sides of
the auction gavel...
